I adore the spontaneity and energy of fly posters, street art and graffiti, and have chosen this as a vehicle to express my emotions in this piece. I’m fascinated by the impulsive nature, purity of expression and the dreamlike quality of theses multimedia collaborative collages and producing these from my own creative wellspring.
The piece was primarily composed in black, white and grey to really draw focus to the coloured elements I planned to place in the foremost layers. The small painting of a robin is the result of my recent fascination with the constant battle for dominance between human society and nature, particularly in urban areas. This is also why the piece is composed over a speed camera graphic.
